PRIVATE EQUITY ANALYST
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
He or she will have a strong analytical background and be able to think creatively to solve problems. He or she will also have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of potential investments, including but not limited to reviewing financial statements, conducting market research, and building detailed financial models
- Develop investment recommendations and present findings to the investment committee
- Monitor portfolio companies’ post-investment and provide value-add support to help them achieve their business goals
- Attend industry conferences and networking events to build relationships with deal sources and management teams of potential investments
- Support the fundraising process by preparing marketing materials and participating in investor meetings
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industries, trends, and key players
- Help lead due diligence efforts on new investment opportunities, including coordinating with third-party service providers
- Manage the data room and virtual data room for each transaction
- Prepare internal memos summarizing key findings from due diligence
- Assist with the negotiation and documentation of transactions
- Manage ongoing reporting requirements for portfolio companies
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or another relevant role
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced Excel modelling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree
- 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or another relevant role
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and other presentation software
- Experience leading and managing projects
Salary
Average Annual Salary: £90k + Bonus
Top 10% Annual Salary: £160k + Bonus
